A. Everyday glasses can be worn during normal activities, but should not be confused with occupational prescription safety eyewear. Dress eyewear a.k.a. everyday glasses do not meet OSHA requirements for on-the-job use where the potential for eye hazards exist. A. Frames noted as 70E compliant meet the NFPA 70E Standard as non-conductive eyewear per article 100 “Definitions”. 70E compliant frames are deemed to be unsuitable for carrying an electrical current.
